I hope you enjoy our collection of unique pizza toppings. We have been inspired over the years to try many different combinations of ingredients. Some we have loved and some…well, let’s just say they didn’t make the cut. The recipes in this list are our favorites…tried and true toppings.

A word about the crust…

Our unique pizza toppings go well with any number of crusts. For something very quick and simple, pick up a package of ready-made naan bread or try your hand at making your own in your pizza oven or regular oven. For a beautiful, simple homemade crust, try our recipe here. If you’ve never made a pizza crust before, never fear! We’ve got you covered with our Secrets to Quick Perfect Dough. For all of our pizza toppings, the first thing you must do is preheat your pizza oven, pizza stone or regular oven. While your oven is preheating, prepare the base (your crust) and assemble the ingredients for the toppings. Some toppings will need to be cooked in advance (bacon, for example)…keep this in mind when time is of the essence. When you’re ready, pop your pizza into your hot oven and bake for about 5-10 minutes depending on your oven. It’s best to bake pizza at 500 degrees or higher…the hotter the better!

Fresh Ingredients

Fresh is best…you’ve heard it before and will likely hear it the rest of your life! It’s true…opt for the freshest ingredients. These will pack in more nutrition and will taste far better than anything else. You will find that we recommend fresh mozzarella a lot in our toppings. The difference between freeze-dried, shredded mozzarella and fresh mozzarella is incredibly HUGE! Not only in taste, but even more obviously in the texture. Fresh moz is typically sliced like one would slice a tomato and laid in round “patties” on your pizza. This is not possible with dry, shredded cheese.

Conclusion

Please let us know if you’ve had experience (success or not) with any of our ideas, and feel free to share your own! We may add them to our portfolio! Blessings and happy pizza-making to you all!
